For most women finding that perfect shoe that makes them feel sexy, sophisticated, and unique is a must. We comb store shelves and spend insane amounts of cash in search of that one shoe that will satisfy our aesthetical needs, only to find out that there are hundreds of other girls with that same exact shoe. Luckily, up-and-coming designer Dominique Wells has the solution to our duplicate-shoe woes. Her new shoe line, Jezabelles, offers custom designs and alterations that can transform any “regular” pump into a chic must-have.

The concept for Jezabelles first came about as a way to recycle fairly worn or plain pumps. Wells owned a pair of pumps that she never wore and wanted to make them stand out, so she adorned them with large embellishments and stones. Surprisingly she did not look at other shoe designers as inspiration since she didn’t want to “possible copy [the designers] by accident.” Her designs are based off of what she thinks and feels will make the shoe eye-catching. After posting the shoe on her Facebook page, many people began contacting her with requests for their own shoes to be redesigned. Through word-of-mouth, Jezabelles quickly became a popular attraction among bloggers and fashionistas. The 20-year-old University of Maryland University College (UMUC) student was able to turn her passion into a career with alteration prices ranging from $80 - $200.
